What is Examgrindsonline.ie?

Examgrindsonline.ie is an online platform that facilitates Teachers and Students to book exam grinds lessons, which are then conducted online via Skype. Examgrindsonline.ie allows students to access grinds lessons for a wide range of subjects with specialist Teachers in that field. Teachers and students undertake these lessons from the comfort of their own home or any other convenient location, avoiding the inconvenience and cost of travel, disrupting family life or setting a separate room aside for lessons to take place. Meanwhile maintaining the quality of one-to-one tuition that is designed around the students individual needs.

What do I need to use Examgrindsonline.ie?

You will need an internet connection, Skype installed on your computer and a Skype compatible computer headset or built in speakers on your device . You will also need a Paypal account. Skype is free to download www.skype.ie and you can purchase a headset from any good electrical retailer. Paypal is also free to download www.paypal.ie and is one of the safest payment methods used online.

How does it work?

The student first creates an account on examgrindsonline.ie. It is free for Students to sign up. Once your account is set up and you have created your username and password you are now free to view the Teachers Profiles on the site. Teachers Profiles will include the subject/s they teach, their experience and teaching methods, their lesson prices and any discounts or promotions they offer and any student feedback or testimonials. Remember prices will vary based on a number of factors e.g (the Teachers experience, the Subject/s they teach, their past student success rate etc). When you find a suitable Teacher you can then send them a message to find out their availability and to organise a lesson. Once the lesson time slot is agreed the lesson itself will take place on Skype at the agreed time. The Teacher will contact the Student prior to the lesson to invoice for payment and once the payment goes through, the teacher will call you on your skype number and the 45 minute lesson will commence. If the Student is under 18 years of age, we would advise Parents to speak with and liaise with the teacher prior to booking so that you are comfortable with and aware of how the service will be carried out. We would like to point out though that every Teacher that is admitted to our site is registered with The Teaching Council of Ireland, which ensures that all teachers are fully qualified, Garda vetted and are up to date with all Child Safety procedures etc. We inspect all documentation prior to listing anybody on our site.

Will I always get the times I want?

There is no guarantee that you will always get the exact time you want. Each Teacher will be free to work different hours so they will have to agree upon your requested time after the initial contact. However if your first choice is not available you’re likely to find another qualified Teacher on the site that can accommodate your requested times.

I have contacted a Teacher through messaging and got no response?

Teachers can be busy teaching at school etc and may not get back to you straight away but Most teachers will endeavour to get back to Students to inform them of their availability or lack thereof. However sometimes unforseen circumstances can sometimes interfere with communications, so if a teacher does not respond to your request we would advise you to seek another suitable Teacher.

How much does a lesson cost?

The price of each lesson will vary from Teacher to Teacher based on a number of factors e.g (the Teachers experience, the Subject/s they teach, their past student success rate etc). Each Teacher will have a structured price plan on their profile. The student will then decide which Teacher to select based on the Teachers Profiles which will include the subject/s they teach, their experience and teaching methods, their lesson prices and any discounts or promotions they offer and any student feedback or testimonials.

How long does each lesson last?

Each lesson is scheduled to last 45 minutes. This can be extended if both the Teacher and Student agree. Such as a Student booking a double lesson.

Who makes the call on Skype?

The Teacher will Skype call the student at the agreed lesson time. We ask that students wait to receive the call from the tutor.

How do I make payment?

All payments are made through Paypal unless agreed otherwise with a tutor. All students will need to set up a Paypal account if they have not got an account already. PayPal is a widely used electronic payments system ( To read more on Paypal please visit www.paypal.com ). We advise that the lesson is paid for prior to the lesson time. Teachers may insist on full payment before the lesson begins. If the Teacher has agreed to accept payment after the lesson He/She will send a payment request via paypal directly after the lesson. We advise making this payment shortly after your lesson has finished so there is no confusion or payment issues at a later stage.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE MY LESSON?

Should a registered Student be unable to attend a booked lesson or lessons, that Student may reschedule the booked lesson or lessons to another available time or times with the same Teacher at no cost or penalty providing at least 24 hours notice can be given to the Teacher concerned. Lessons should not be rescheduled less than 24 hours before the lesson is due to commence. Cancellation of a booked lesson will not incur any cost to the student if the Teacher has been given 24 hours notice. If cancellation takes place less than 24 hours prior to the booked lesson the registered Student will be liable for the cost of the lesson to the teacher (at teachers discretion) and no refund of pre-payment in respect of the cancelled lesson will be made by either the teacher, examgrindsonline.ie or exam grinds online Ltd. Lessons cannot be cancelled less than 24 hours before the lesson is due to commence. This is a standard agreement that we suggest for student and teachers but examgrindsonline.ie except no responsibility whatsoever for payment disputes. Where a Student fails to attend a booked lesson or lessons, the teacher is not under any obligation to refund any Fees already paid in respect of the lesson and any refund agreement will be at the sole discretion of the individual Teacher concerned. Registered Students are entitled to a full refund of the fee paid in respect of a lesson or lessons which are cancelled by a Teacher, and in respect of a lesson or lessons where the Teacher fails to attend the lesson in its entirety.
