What is Examgrindsonline.ie?
Examgrindsonline.ie is an online platform that facilitates Teachers and Students to book exam grinds lessons, which are then conducted online via Skype. Teachers and students undertake these lessons from the comfort of their own home or any other convenient location, avoiding the inconveniences of cost of travel, disrupting family life or setting a separate room aside for lessons to take place. Meanwhile still maintaining the quality of one-to-one tuition that is designed around the students individual needs.
How much does it cost to join?
Teachers will pay a monthly membership fee of €25 (plus VAT) to advertise their services. There is no limit to the amount of students or lessons you book. Each Teacher will set up a profile that will be accessible to students. You can update or edit your profile information any time using your unique log in details.
What do I need to use Examgrindsonline.ie?
You will need an internet connection, Skype installed on your computer and a Skype compatible computer headset or built in speakers on your device. You will also need a Paypal account. Skype is free to download www.skype.ie and you can purchase a headset from any good electrical retailer. Paypal is also free to download www.paypal.ie and is one of the safest payment methods used online. Teachers will also need proof of qualifications and will need to be registered with the Teaching Council of Ireland. On signing up you will receive your application from the Administrator requesting your details.
Can I set my own hours?
As an Examgrindsonline.ie Teacher you are completely free to set your own hours of availability. When a student makes contact with you, you will tell them the days and times you’re available and you will book the lesson based on both your availability.
Can I set my own rate per lesson?
You are completely free to set your own rate per lesson. Your prices will be listed on examgrindsonline.ie and students can compare prices with other teachers on the site. You are also free to offer your own discount rates based on block bookings etc and can also advertise these promotions on your profile page. When setting prices please note that prices are based on a 45 minute lesson.
How long does each lesson last?
Each lesson is scheduled to last 45 minutes and we ask that teachers stick to this timeframe.
How do I receive payment?
Teachers invoice the Client directly for their lesson using PayPal. This is the only payment method we use. PayPal payments can be received electronically from your students wherever you are in the Country. The Teacher needs to simply issue a payment request through Paypal to the client for your lesson fee. We would recommend that Teachers request payment prior to the lesson taking place. Once Payment has been delivered to your Paypal account you should continue the lesson at the agreed time.
WHAT ABOUT CANCELLATIONS? LESSON CANCELLATION POLICY
Teachers are advised to cancel a scheduled lesson with a Student at least 24 hours before the lesson is due to commence. Lessons should not be cancelled less than 24 hours before the lesson is due to commence. Teachers are advised to make a full refund to a Student of any amount paid by that Student to the Teacher in respect of the cancelled lesson. Alternatively the teacher should endeavour to reschedule the lesson at a time that suits the student if this is acceptable to the student.
